Why Should I choose ACISI?

ACISI staff has over 55 years of combined law enforcement, investigative and security experience. At ACISI, our professionalism and qualifications exceed most private security firms operating in the greater Washington Metropolitan area. We take pride in the work we perform and the serviceswe provide to each of our individual clients.

Is ACISI licensed and insured?

ACISI is a fully licensed private investigation business with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. Our Virginia DCJS license number is VA DCJS#11-3942. We are also fully insured, as required by Virginia law. Each of our investigative personnel have passed local, state, and national background checks, and exceeded the minimum mandated training requirements of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.

What is the cost for services?

ACISI examines each client's needs and requirements on an individual basis. Initial consultations are free and clients are informed of fees for service after fully examining each individual's case requirements. Specialized pricing, retainers, one time fees, and hourly rates may or may not apply. "I am not going to spend your money without you knowing it" is a general protocol for ACISI staff.

What is the turnaround time for services?

Promising a predetermined turnaround and select case completion times would be irresponsible, before consultation: however ACISI prides itself on prompt professional services for all clients. ACISI holds a distinct reputation for quality services. Clients may be assured that their cases will be handled efficiently and effectively.

How do I know when I need the services of a Private Investigator?

When you need an objective professional to gather and document facts to be used as evidence on cases without bias, opinion, supposition or surmise. The nature of the investigation will promote the analysis and preparation of all facts to assist the client with the understanding of the truth. Private Investigators have access to information that unlicensed individuals do not have. They also have the expertise to determine where to go and what sources to access when conducting investigations. Hiring a Private Investigator is not unlike hiring a lawyer or other professional. They possess the training and expertise to reconize the leads in order to follow the path in different investigative specialties. If necessary, we will refer clients to a specialized agency in order to achieve the professional and competent investigation.

Will the investigation be kept confidential?

ACISI Investigators conduct all investigations professionally, with the utmost discretion to assure our clients complete confidentiality and case integrity. Confidentiality is maintained to the fullest extent allowed by law. In some domestic cases certain case details and facts may only be provided to a client's retained attorney. ACISI recognizes the volatile nature of some domestic matters and maintains strict ethical standards concerning access to certain types of information.

In order to perform background checks and research information on particular individuals, clients should understand that certain information is governed by state and federal privacy regulations. Certain information, such as credit histories, may not be released except for specific defined lawful purposes. ACISI follows all federal and state regulations. ACISI has access to a multitude of informational sources to perform extensive and complete background investigations. Whether you are hiring new employees, leasing property, entering into a business transaction, or contemplating marriage, clients may be assured that timely accurate information will assist in making the right decision.

Will I be kept informed of the progress of the investigation?

Quite simply, "Yes." During each phase of the investigation, whether or not facts are confirmed or uncovered, ACISI staff keeps its clients informed. Certain case information must be routed through an individual's attorney's office for ethical and legal purposes but in these cases, clients are provided with up-to-date case status information.

What would facilitate the initial consultation with ACI?

In order to take advantage of the initial free consultation we recommend you to bring all documents necessary to initiate the investigation. The initial assessment of the facts and strategy used to investigate the matter at hand is based on documents, personal information, addresses, phone numbers and any other particulars that apply to the case. If it is an employment background check have a signed release form with the applicants' personal information to allow us to conduct the investigation.

How does ACI start an investigation?

ACI values the opportunity to serve each client and for that reason we recommend a meeting “in person” during the first consultation. There are a couple of reasons for such meeting:

(a) To establish a “comfort zone” where you as a client recognize that the investigation is based on a “Team” effort and your cooperation is essential.

(b) To illustrate the fact that we work in conjunction with clients and your attorney. We take pride in the equation: “Client-Private Investigator-Attorney”.
